Join us for a pre-performance panel discussion that gives context to the Lucretia story as it relates to each panelist's field of expertise.

UMD campus chaplain Rev. Brett Pinder will address the various religious interpretations of this story; UMD Title IX Officer and Director of the Office of Civil Rights & Sexual Misconduct Catherine Carroll will address how this story resonates in her work on campus and beyond; UMD College of Arts & Humanities Associate Dean and Professor of American Studies Sheri Parks will address the story in the context of her work within American Studies and as a member of the Coalition for Civic Engagement; guest director Amanda Consul will speak to the ability of the arts to address complex and sensitive issues. Moderated by Craig Kier, Maryland Opera Studio director.
