Event Attributes

Four-Time Grammy Award winning artist Yolanda Adams has been wowing crowds for many years. As of 2009, she has sold over 4.5 million albums (and 8 million worldwide). Her accolades include: 3 Dove Awards, 4 Grammy Awards, 7 NAACP Image Awards, 16 Stellar Awards, 4 Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards, 4 BET Best Gospel Awards, and the first ever American Music Award for Contemporary/Inspirational Artist. Perhaps her most crowning achievement was being named Billboard's #1 Gospel Artist of the Decade in December 2009.

Yolanda's magnificent range and vocal style grants her the freedom to sing in genres of jazz, R&B, and contemporary gospel. Her crossover ability is an asset many artists could only wish for. She has thrilled audiences with her jaw dropping tribute performances by showing homage to greats such as Patti Labelle, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, John Lennon, Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin and James Brown. She has also done collaborations with such notables as Sting, Kenny G and Smokey Robinson.

Eleanor Roosevelt Gospel Choir, under the direction of Michele Fowlin, has performed for Vice President Joe Biden, City of Praise Church, as well as numerous community and church events in the DC Metropolitan area.
