What is the role of music in citizen diplomacy and civic engagement around the globe? How can it be a channel for offering multiple voices, especially those of young people, a place in public discourse?

In this roundtable discussion, we will talk about the role of music and the griot in Malian history and contemporary culture. For a brief performance of this music and an ensuing discussion, join Trio Da Kali, known for their performance of traditional music and storytelling, and this remarkable panel of experts. A light lunch will be served.
