Youth Orchestra Day at the National Orchestral Institute

Joining the National Orchestral Institute is an aspirational achievement for young performers across the nation and here in our community.

Schedule

Youth Orchestra Day will take place on Saturday, June 24 and begins with check-in at 9 am in the Grand Pavilion of The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center. For directions to the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, please click here.

9:00 am Arrival/Check-in
9:30 am Rehearsal Piece  #1
10:30 am Rehearsal Piece  #2
11:30 am Rehearsal Piece  #3
12:30 pm Lunch
1:15 pm Sectionals led by NOI members
2:20 pm Break     
2:30 pm Clinic for full Youth Orchestra with James Ross
3:30 pm Full Rehearsal with NOI members
5:30 pm           Dinner with NOI members
6:30 pm Concert in Dekelboum Concert Hall
8:00 pm Attend NOI Concert

Registration

All youth orchestra participants are chosen by the Music Director of their youth orchestra.  They must then register using the form below.  The cost of attending is $25 and includes the following

  • boxed lunch
  • dinner
  • participant admission for NOI concert at 8 pm
