The first University of Maryland Wind Ensemble concert of the 2017-2018 season is anchored by two cornerstones of the wind repertoire, Ralph Vaughan Williams' lyrical English Folk Song Suite, and Paul Hindemith's monumental Symphonic Metamorphosis of Themes by Carl Maria von Weber. Also included in this concert is a little-heard chamber work by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, his Divertimento in E-Flat Major, K. 166/159d.
