Dr. Mortimer Sellers is Regents Professor of the University System of Maryland and Director of the Center for International and Comparative Law at the University of Baltimore. His areas of expertise include constitutional law, philosophy of law, and Roman law as well as international and comparative law. His topic, “America: The New Rome,” is integral to the theme of the NIAF Pellegri Program on Ancient Rome and its Legacy in America, funded by a five-year grant from the National Italian American Foundation, thanks to a bequest from Mr. Ernest Pellegri. The lecture will be followed by a reception.
