UMD Mayuri is proud to present Mayuri 2015. March 28th, 2015 marks the third anniversary of UMD's premiere Classical Indian dance competition. This competition brings together 8 classical dance teams from across the nation to put on an exhilarating performance.

With more opportunities for showcasing this unique art, UMD Mayuri hopes to expand the interest for Indian Classical dance and provide teams a venue to flourish, learn and compete as dancers, artists and students.

All proceeds from the event go to the Sankara Nethralaya Ophthalmic Mission (SNOM) Trust, Inc., a registered non-profit organization in the United States of America. SNOM was established in 1988 with the sole purpose of supporting Sankara Nethralaya, a charitable, not-for-profit ophthalmic hospital, in Chennai, India. Through their fundraising and awareness efforts, SNOM Trust has contributed significantly in making world class ophthalmic eye care available to a large number of indigent people in India.
