Program Notes:

When Tia Fuller picks up her sax to play, the two become one and something amazing happens as the notes and reverberations of her musical elixir fill the room. Suddenly, everything in the universe feels right and it’s easy to see and hear why this artist and teacher is making audiences sit up and take notice, as did Beyoncé, who selected Tia to be a member of her all-female touring band.

Funded in memory of Barb Reiher.

Review by the Diamondback

Like many musicians’ careers, Tia Fuller’s had a modest beginning: Her first gig was at a fish fry in southern New Jersey. But the saxophonist and composer has come a long way since then. She has since been a member of Beyoncé’s band, recorded four albums and performed for President Obama.
