Overhire Scenic Carpenter/Welder

We seek an experienced, qualified Scenic Carpenter/Welder.

Candidates should be self-motivated, have a positive attitude, work safely and quickly and exhibit professional behavior at all times.

Requirements

  • Need to have a broad knowledge in theatrical procedures, scenic construction, problem solving, tools and theatre products
  • Ability to repeatedly lift, push, or maneuver 50+ lbs, as well as climb ladders and work in high places
  • Rigging experience a plus
  • Interest in working with students a must

Work hours are generally weekdays with occasional weekend load-in and strike hours. Competitive hourly wage is commensurate with experience; benefits are not available for this position.

The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center supports 1200 events annually in six spectacular theatres. We are process-oriented professionals committed to teaching, exploration and collaboration.
