UMD Dance Innovator and Researcher Honored by University of Oregon

Karen Kohn Bradley dances to her own tune, and it seems to be attracting all kinds of attention.

Earlier this year, the School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies dance professor won an ADVANCE grant for her research into the brain activity of dancers. The results of this research will inform important breakthroughs in communicating emotion and expression in fields like robotics, artificial limbs and animation, as well as for patients suffering from traumatic brain injury.

Most recently, Bradley was honored by her alma mater, University of Oregon as their 2012 Distinguished Alum by the UO School of Music and Dance. Bradley is being recognized for her significant contribution to their profession of dance. Read more here.
